I was approached by the DPD Group to create a unique 3D design for their chatbot icon.
The main goal of chatbots is to simplify and speed up 24/7 communication so the customer gets its answers as quickly as possible. Hence I focused on creating friendly features – without any sharp angles – with empathetic facial expressions reminiscent of our childhood's old magnetic drawing boards.
Chatbot Alex is in the DPD red, designed to look good in high and perfect in low resolution, for use as a small chat icon.
The character was created genderless to be inclusive for everyone who needs help or information about their packages.
DPD Group, the parcel delivery network, uses chatbots in many countries. The characters are localized for their region. Chatbot Alex was designed for the Slovak branch of the company.
